| Content: | 1/24/2011 9:06:29 AM By E.J. Reedy Kauffman Roundtable on Establishment Surveys Call for Interested Experts The science behind establishment (or business) survey methodologies continues to lag in many ways behind that of household surveys. As a step toward exchanging international experiences in designing and implementing establishment surveys, the Kauffman Foundation will be hosting a small roundtable of experts on the topic. The purpose of the roundtable will be to discuss successes and lessons learned in the implementation of establishment surveys. Specifically, the roundtable will focus on experiences in designing surveys to reach small, new, or fast-growing establishments. The roundtable is planned for August 2011 with the exact date and location still to be determined. Interested individuals with experience in the design or implementation of small business establishment surveys should contact E.J. Reedy by March 15, 2011 to express interest in participating. Please include a short summary of your relevant experience. Attendance will be very limited and will include participants from the National Science Foundation, who are in the early stages of developing a microbusiness R&D and innovation survey.
