| Description: | The International Conference on Robust Statistics (ICORS) is an annual international conference which was organized for the first time in 2001. The objective of ICORS is to provide a forum for new developments and applications of robust and nonparametric statistics. Leading statisticians and scientists, as well as young researchers and students from all over the world, come together to exchange knowledge and to build scientific and social contacts between participants. On average 150-200 scholars attend the conference. Among the steering committee of ICORS and the scientific committees which organized previous ICORS conferences there are wellknown statisticians from all over the world. Aims, scope and topics The ICORS 2010 conference aims to join people working on robust statistics and related fields. Theoretical as well as applied contributions are welcome. The following areas are mentioned, but contributed talks on other related topics are welcome as well: - Concepts and theory of robust statistics - Asymptotic theory and efficiency - Nonparametric methods - Multivariate analysis - Data depth - Quantile regression models - Linear and generalized linear models; mixed models - Biostatistics - Official statistics and survey sampling - Statistical methods in business and finance - Statistical methods in telecommunications - Statistical methods in bioinformatics/genetics - Statistical computing, graphics and data mining Conference venue The conference will take place at the University of Economics, Prague. The University complex is situated in Zizkov quarter, conveniently located within walking distance from the very centre of the city. The main building for the conference will be the `Rajska budova'. This brand new building offers comfortable conference facilities satisfying high technical and architectural standards. Important Dates Registration opens: January 1, 2010 Deadline for abstracts: March 31, 2010 Acceptance of abstracts for presentation: April 20, 2010 Early registration: April 30, 2010 Call for papers The conference language is English. If you wish to present a paper at the conference, please submit an abstract of at most one page. Please use the LaTeX template you can download from the website of the conference and submit your abstract through the registration form.
