The currency used in Cyprus is the Cypriot pound. Credit cards are accepted in most places. Other currencies (Euro and USA dollars) are not commonly used. The banks are closed in the afternoon and during the weekends. You can also exchange currency at the airport and the hotels.
In Cyprus they drive on the left.
The Golden Archers and Mediterranean hotels are 5 mins walking distance from the venue hotel (Amathus). Those staying in other hotels can take a bus (10-15 mins away) that runs every 20 mins or so. The cost is approximately 60 cents. Otherwise, they can take a taxi costing around 5 pounds (3-4 can share it).
